Weekend Reading 7/3/10

by Matt on July 3, 2010

Here are some articles that I have enjoyed reading this week that may be useful to you.

Dividends Value presents an article about finding low risk dividend stocks and provides several examples. Four of the companies on his sample low-risk list are companies that I have published a dividend stock analysis of, including ADP, PEP, JNJ, and WMT, so they may be good candidates for consideration.

The Dividend Guy presents 3 things investors don’t want in a dividend stock. I agree with his first two points while his third point depends on your precise investing goals, but is a good point to keep in mind.

Value Walk takes a look at the valuation of the stock market. It’s interesting to see how your portfolio valuations compare to the broader market.

Frugal Confessions shows how financial limits breed creativity. I wholeheartedly agree.

Consumer Boomer discusses deciding between a Roth IRA and 401k.

Full Disclosure: I owns shares of JNJ at the time of this writing.
